eyewittness - Forrest Gump - Week 12

an event that appeared in the movie was when the president of United States of America John F. Kennedy died wich happened at 1963. In this time in the movie, Forrest was in the local football team in collage and just moments before he died he got to meet the president. There is also a scene where Forrest got to meet Richard Nixon after he was in the army fighting in Vietnam. when he got home he was promoted for bravery in battlefield and was greeted by Richard nixon. They didn't actually meet the president while producing the movie, this was the first movie that they actually photoshopped in Forrest in the scene where he met the president. The movie contains alot of historical events that they have connected to the movie wich they got a big reward of when releasing the movie in 1994.
